Cost Segregation Authority, LLC has been performing cost segregation studies since 1999. Our Experts
Michael Teuscher, CPA, CVA
Mike Teuscher is the Tax Director and President of Cost Segregation Authority. He is an honors graduate with a degree in accounting from Westminster College. Mike worked with Arthur Anderson & Co. and Touche Ross (now Deloitte & Touche). Mike started as a tax consultant and left Deloitte & Touche as a Tax Manager. Mike has serviced clients with annual sales from $1 million to in excess of $1 billion. He has worked extensively in manufacturing, oil and gas, and in the real estate arena. Mike has experience in all areas of taxation and accounting that include working with public companies and closely-held entities. Mike is well versed in such areas as cost segregation studies, business entity planning and individual planning for clients with significant tax planning needs. His experience includes writing tax opinions, tax compliance, tax consulting, selection of operating entities, accounting for partnerships, and report to partners, etc.
Harold Ruf, CPA
Harold Ruf is CEO of Cost Segregation Authority, LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Brigham Young University and has been a licensed CPA since 1978. Harold holds a Utah general engineering contactors license. He has extensive experience as a consultant and corporate officer with regional, national and international construction companies. Harold has also co-founded successful construction and manufacturing companies. He has over 30 years experience in the construction industry. Harold has estimated and reviewed estimates for construction projects to in excess of $50 million. He has reviewed numerous cost segregation studies. He has been involved in all phases of construction projects including: municipal and commercial buildings, microtunneling, waste water treatment facilities, water pumping plants, major utility pipelines, water tanks, waste water collection systems, culinary and secondary water distribution systems, concrete structures, roadway construction, ski resort development and airports.
Steve, Ruf, MBA
Steve Ruf holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Utah. Steve has prepared numerous cost segregation studies, construction claims and change orders for projects up to $30 million and has assisted in bidding projects of up to $7.5 million. His expertise includes cost segregation studies, construction costing, construction change orders, requests for equitable adjustments, claims, damage assessment, cost analysis report preparation and computer graphic presentations.
